Who is Danielle Nicki?
Danielle Nicki is a professional writer in television, film, books, and scripted audio podcasts who enjoys exploring the worlds and minds of flawed — and dare I say, unlikable — women of color protagonists. She feels completely at home writing thriller, horror, fantasy, action, and drama, and thrives when there is a bit of dark humor and a complicated family dynamic at its core.
Danielle started her professional writing career after joining season 2 of Leverage: Redemption (Amazon Prime) as a staff writer and for the past two seasons, she's been staffed on NBC’s Chicago Fire.
Danielle also writes scripted audio. She wrote nine episodes of the podcast Who, When, Wow! Mystery Edition and was part of the team which won a coveted Gold Signal Award. She also wrote all eight episodes of the AURN podcast, Invisible Eagles: Bessie Coleman, about the first Black American pilot, Bessie Coleman.
Danielle was born in Italy to military parents and they moved to the United States after living all over Europe. Danielle is married and together they have three children who provide her with endless amounts of material.
