Who is Danielle Nicki?
Danielle Nicki is a professional writer in television, film, books, and scripted audio podcasts who enjoys exploring the worlds and minds of flawed — and dare I say, unlikable — women of color protagonists. She feels completely at home writing thriller, horror, fantasy, action, and straight drama, and thrives when there is a bit of dark humor and a complicated family dynamic at its core.
Danielle became a member of the WGA after joining season 2 of Leverage: Redemption as a staff writer and her episode, The Big Rig Job, aired in December 2022. She currently writes for NBC's Chicago Fire.
Danielle also writes for scripted audio. She wrote nine episodes of the podcast Who, When, Wow! Mystery Edition and was part of the team which won a coveted Gold Signal Award. She also wrote all eight episodes of the AURN podcast, Invisible Eagles: Bessie Coleman, about the first Black American pilot, Bessie Coleman.
Danielle was born in Italy to military parents and they moved to the United States after living all over Europe. Danielle is married and together they have three children who provide her with endless amounts of material.
